Episode 1, season 2

— In 2023 the props team from HBH got in touch with me about commissioning an ibis and a mynah bird for the series second season. This commission was a little different to what I’m used to as they wanted both birds to “look dead”. Having delivered the birds, I eagerly waited for the next season to air. Almost a year later, I was thrilled to find that my birds were key to a major plot point of the season!

The team has since returned the birds to me and I’m very proud of my little “celebrities”. Go check them out on Netflix!

— The wonderful folks at SBS Insight contacted me in April of 2023 to do an interview for their episode about loss and letting go. They wanted a different perspective of why some people are able to move on while others want to hold on, and as you know I offer pet preservation as one of my services.

This interview helped explain why some people want to keep their pet after they’ve passed on and how it is not so much “holding on” as it is allowing the memory of them to live on.

Frankie Magazine

— In February of 2021, Frankie magazine interviewed me about my fledgling business. Admittedly, I had only begun my career in the industry 12 months prior, but I think I did an ok job of explaining our process and clearing up some common misconceptions surrounding taxidermy. It was such a great experience, but the the most fun part was probably the photo shoot at my house! You can read the article here -
